Returns Policy

Lightbar-shop operate a flexible returns policy for all instances. Below will detail our different conditions depending on the situation of the customer. In all cases (unless faulty) the product(s) must be returned in a satisfactory, resellable condition to incur a full refund or ample exchange.

To initiate a return, we request you adhere to the following steps:

  • Make first contact by either telephone (01785 761251) or email ( to our sales team. If you could detail your date of purchase, reason for the return and required outcome, such as refund or exchange, it will highly beneficial to you and ourselves as it speeds up the Returns Authorisation process.
  • Once the details have been collated by one of our team, you will be provided a Returns Authorisation Number to place onto the box in order to finalise the process.

Non-Faulty Items

  • Must be returned in a resellable condition with it's original packaging and contents.
  • The cost of returning the goods, for exchange or refund, is the responsibility of the customer.

Faulty Items

  • Must be returned in a condition whereby they can be tested. Wires must be provided with at least 1" length spare. An untested unit cannot be warranted as faulty.
  • Where applicable, we can offer a collection service for your item if the facility to return on your own terms is not available.

Non Returnable Items

Built-to-order items, bespoke items and lightbars must not be returned unless faulty. 

Returns from outside of the UK

We can only refund items that were returned to us from outside of the UK & all exchange requests would be subject to a further shipping charge applied for redistribution.

Product Condition - Non-Faulty Only

We reserve the right to apply a 15% restocking and handling charge to either your refund or exchange deal. You will receive prior notice if this prior to your refund or exchange.


Once the item has returned to our stores and been properly tested and checked off, we will undertake the refund procedure. We usually work to apply the refund within 3 working days of receipt of goods. Refunds are not instantaneous and could require upto 12 working days to credit your account.


Upon receipt of the item, we will test and check off the return. Following this your requested exchange items will be packaged & dispatched. If any charges are required prior to dispatch, you will be contacted to finalise the order by paying the remaining balance.


Lightbar-shop prices can change at any time. We reserve the right to only offer a refund for what was paid, and not the current price. If the returned item is/was part of a discount, promotion or otherwise, the discount will be claimed back where applicable.
