The Star-M18 is a dual colour ultra slim and covert directional light head encased within a rubberised shroud. Unlike alternative products, the rubberised shroud is a lot more forgiving for the vast windscreen curvatures that exist across many vehicle types. Bearing in mind it’s position near the driver and front seat passenger the rubberised shroud is health and safety compliant with no sharp edges or hardened materials.

As standard, the kit includes directional LED’s, rubberised enclosure (with an incredibly strong adhesive), vinyl tint strip and primer. It is almost impossible to see when properly installed and is ECE R65 approved to Class I when used in conjunction with the vinyl tint. It is normally positioned directly centrally between the rear view mirror and the extremities of the windscreen left/right sides.

The Star-M18 is primarily designed to be installed at the top of windscreen but thanks to the various cut lines indicated on the underside of the unit it can be modified by the customer to fit various angles making it incredibly versatile.

The Star-M18’s purpose is largely for unmarked/covert police vehicles but does have other uses particularly due to the low current draw and adaptability. The two colours are independently controlled but can also be alternately flashed at the same time. The USB-C connector and cable can be swapped from either side of the unit and multiple units can be connected to one other to reduce installation time.

The intended purpose of the Star-M18 is restricted to internal use. The Star-M18 has synchronisation capability with other Redtronic products, is manufactured in the UK and is endorsed with a 3-year warranty.
